Reading Resources

Increasing your financial education and knowledge is a fundamental step in creating a financially free lifestyles as a Mum. You also have restricted time to accomplish this if you have responsibilities such as feeding, clothing and caring for your family!

Here is my list of books that helped me build up my financial intelligence and gave me the push to become a financially free mum.

My top tips for growing your financial intelligence while raising kids:

  1. Browse a book website when you have a few spare minutes (such as when you’re feeding your baby or when you are on a coffee break at work).
  2. Create an Amazon wishlist called ‘Financial Freedom Books’ or something similar to separate these resources from your everyday wish list
  3. Add interesting books to a wish list
  4. Check audible versions too
  5. Here’s the important part to rapidly grow your knowledge. Double up on your productivity by listening to audiobooks through *audible or podcasts about financial information when you are doing other jobs:
    1. When you are in the car – instead of putting on the radio or music while you are a driver or passenger in a car, play a book or podcast. Even if you don’t fully concentrate you will still absorb bits of information
    2. While you are washing up or cleaning the house
    3. While you are preparing dinner
    4. Have a book playing in the background if you’re doing play doh or painting or something with the kids
